Conference Proceedings
The proceedings of the 8th International conference on Position Sensitive Detectors will be published as a special edition of Nuclear Instrumentation and Methods A. Each registered participant of the conference will receive a copy of the proceedings.
The papers must be prepared in acordance with the standard instructions for authors provided by the journal Elsevier. General advice for authors is available (including information on preparing figures ). Papers will be printed in black and white only.
Submitting your Contribution
Particpants are required to prepare their proceedings in advance of the conference, and either email them or submit their proceedings on a memory stick to the organising committe at the registration desk in the meeting. The committee reserves the right not to consider any contributions submitted after the 5th September 2008.
For email submission please send a zip file, or a web link to your files, containing the electronic files of your proceedings to the (psd8Proceedings@physics.gla.ac.uk).
Contributions will be refereeed by the national organising committee of the conference. The proceedings will be edited by Dr Chris Parkes, Dr Richard Bates, Dr Keith Mathieson and Dr Paul Soler of the University of Glagsow.
Length of Contribution
Speakers who have given a 35 minute presentation are invited to prepare papers of up to six pages in length.
Other speakers and those that have presented posters may contribute papers of 4 pages length.

Please read the Nucl. Instrum. Meth. A guide for authors for full details on paper preparation.
The papers must be prepared using either the Latex style files or MS Word template supplied below. Latex submission is preferred. The MS word template is a guide only and NIMA can accomodate approximately 15% more text than indicated.
For Latex submission we require the .tex file (including any definitions) and .eps files for any figures you wish to include. The submission should be prepared using the standard Elsevier class file elstart.cls and the specific class file for this conference elsart5p.cls

For MS Word we require the .doc file incorporating any figures and in addition files of the incorporated figures (in the standard picture formats of .eps, .tiff) as these may have to be supplied separately to the journal.
